She graduated from Grainfield High School. She was a homemaker.
She married Verle M. Cox on Dec. 31, 1957, in Grainfield. He preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 2003.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Cox, Ellis, and Terry Cox, Park; a daughter, DeeAnn Seelbach, Topeka; three sisters, Edna Thomas, Ethel Gillespie and Judy Stroup, all of Grainfield; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter; burial in Grainfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Grainfield Opera House and can be sent in care of the funeral home, 901 S. Main, Quinter, KS 67752.
