My Husband's Grandmother.

Rosa Aguilar was born to Jose Cresencio Aguilar and Maria Francisco Chavez, in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She was later adopted by Aniceto Solano and Refugio de Leon when she was about ten years of age. Why she was given up for adoption remains a mystery. Her adoption records remain sealed. Hiring an attorney to get her records opened proved fruitless.

In 1900, Rosita Aguilar is living in La Ceja, Union Co., New Mexico, with her adoptive father, Aniceto Solano, adoptive mother, Refugio de Leon. She is listed as adopted daughter.

Rosita married Francisco Nadal Ruiz, on 8 June 1908 at Bueyeros, Harding Co., New Mexico. Their marriage record reads - Rosita Solano, adopted daughter of Aniceto Solano and Refugio de Solano. Birth certificate of son, Pantaleon Nadal, lists mother's name as Rosita Aguilar Solano.

In 1921, Rosita is living at Riverside, California, with her husband and two sons.

Not known when Rosita died, or where she is buried. She might have died in New Mexico.
