Ole P. Grina was born March 4, 1877 in Otter Tail Co., Minnesota to Peder Olsen Grina and his wife Maren Julia. Ole was baptized at South Immanuel Lutheran Church, Otter Tail Co., MN on April 8, 1877. The large family moved to Northwood, Grand Forks Co., ND in about 1880.

Ole married Inga Wold at Northwood, ND on November 29, 1906. Soon after they married they moved to Plaza, Mountraill Co., ND and lived there for many years. Then they moved to the Snoqualmie Valley in Washington around 1940, where they settled for good. Ole spent his lifetime as a carpenter-contractor and built many fine homes in the North Bend area.

The Grinas were among the early members to join Mount Si Lutheran Church. Funeral services were conducted there on November 28, 1956 and interment was at the Mount Si Cemetery.

Survivors included his wife, Inga and son Parnell at home, sons Clifford of North Bend, Orphey of Seattle, and Irvin of Klamath Falls, OR; two daughters Ethel (Mrs. Sid) Pederson, North Bend and Lillian (Mrs. Telford) Moe of Snoqualmie; and 11 grandchildren. Also four sisters: Mrs. Martha Ostlie, Reynolds, ND, Mrs. Nick Ulberg and Mrs. Sever Bjerke, both of Northwood, ND; and Mrs. Anton Bracke of Minneapolis.
