PETERSBURG - Hazel N. Bomke, 90, of Petersburg, formerly of Springfield, died Monday, March 11, 2002, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 23, 1911, in Nebo, the daughter of John and Ora Guthrie Kinkade. She married Roy J. Bomke in 1929; he preceded her in death in 2000.
Mrs. Bomke retired from the Federated Funeral Directors and also worked for Sears, Roebuck and Co. She was a charter member of the Springfield Southern Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at the Mary Bryant Home for more than 40 years.
Survivors: a daughter, Betty J. (husband, James K.) Grove of Winter Garden, Fla.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Ruth Huffman of Ozark, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Staab Funeral Home, Chaplain Gene Blissett officiating. Burial: Farmington Cemetery.
