Joseph C. Snyder -- One of Waterloo County's oldest and best known farmers, Mr. Joseph C. Snyder, passed away on Sunday, June 25, on the Snyder homestead at Natchez, aged 71 years, 9 months and 4 days, having been born on the farm on which he died June 21,, 1837. He had been in failing health for about fifteen months.

The late Mr. Snyder is survived by a wife and five children, also two sisters. The children are: Isadore B., Berlin; Lucinda (Mrs. Simeon Brubacher), Berlin; Maggie (Mrs. Stauffer Shantz), Baden; Jacob B. on old homestead and Lincoln, of Potter's Hardware, Berlin. The two sisters are, Mrs. Isaac Moyer, Bloomingdale, and Mrs. Isaac Cressman, Strasburg.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock from his late residence at Natchez to the East End Mennonite Church and burying grounds.
