Services for Mrs Josie Richerodt, 76, Marshalltown, died early Monday at the Marshall County Care Facility, have been set for Wednesday at the Pursel-Davis Chapel with the Rev Jack Mauldin officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Born Mary Josephine Ellis December 15, 1897, in Stockton, Missouri, she was the daughter of James and Martha Ellis.

She spent her early years and received her education in Colo. She married August Richerodt June 21, 1917. He preceded her in death.

Three children survive: Marvin Richerodt, Marshalltown; Mrs Lorine Koester, Tucson, Arizona and Melvin Richerodt, Phoenix, Arizona; also six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She and Mr Richerodt farmed in the Marshalltown area until 1940, then in the Albia area. She returned to Marshalltown in 1969.

Mrs Richerodt was a member of the United Methodist Church at Albia.
