Ardmore, OK — Etholine Gertrude Adams passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010, in Norman, Okla., at the age of 96. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Reverend Wava Guin. She was born on August 7, 1913, in El Paso, Texas, to the late Mr. Asa Cude and Mrs. Mollie B. (Huffman) Cude.
Known to everyone as "Trudy," she married Ithel Morgan Adams after graduating from Ardmore High School. She was a member of the Nazarene Church and of the church choir. She traveled from church to church with a ladies singing group. She was a good seamstress and made a lot of her children's clothing. Trudy was a great decorator and cook. She was very crafty and was always fun to be around. She worked as a hospital PBX switchboard operator for most of her working career.
Trudy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ithel M. Adams; brothers, Tim and Truman Cude; sister, Evelyn Mason; and two grandchildren, Valerie Shouse and Michael Adams.
She is survived by her daughters, Ginger Shouse of Edmond, Karen Lujan of Norman; son, Phillip Adams of Norman; grandchildren, Keri Elerick and husband, Chris, of Stroud, Bruce Adams of Moore, Deborah Adams, Brooke Price, and Brian Adams all of Norman; three great-grandchildren, Marie Bitto of Norman and Drew and Grant Elerick both of Stroud.
Pallbearers will be Gene Shouse, Phil Lujan, Bruce Adams, Joyce Michael, Chris Elerick and Edward Chathum.
