Otto was the son of Nels and Mary (Jevne) Sale. He married Hazel Norslien on Sept. 10, 1927. Otto and Hazel had four children: Lorene (Alex) Meister, Grant (Charlene), Doris (Chuck) Hayes and Marlen (Ruth). Otto and Hazel farmed in Green County, Berry and Vermont Townships. He was also a carpenter for many years.
