Telesphore Leger was the son of Nicholas Leger & Adele Thibodeaux and the husband of Olita Romero.

Telesphore Leger Funeral services for Telesphore Leger, 67, were held Sunday at 3 p.m. in St. Joseph Church, with interment following in St. Theresa's Cemetery in Duson. Mr. Leger died Friday at 7:15 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette after a recent illness. Father Ben Drapeau officiated and as the funeral procession left the Church, Father Drapeau led in singing. Continuing the final tribute, a memorial service was held at the 5:30 p.m Mass Sunday at St. Joseph Church in remembrance of Mr. Leger. Gossen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Born in Duson, Mr. Leger was the son of the late Adele Thibodeaux, and Nicholas Leger. He and Mrs. Leger had been married 51 years and were honored by their family on their Golden Wedding Anniversary. He was a retired farmer. Survivors included five daughters, Mona Lane Clark of Judice, Sable Menard and Dianna Guidry, both of Rayne, Mona Jane Breaux and Cheryl Leger, both of Crowley; one son, C. J. Leger of Rayne; two sisters, Edith Broussard of Rayne and Cecile Albarado of Duson; 23 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded In death by one son, Franklin Joseph Leger. Pallbearers were Darryl Leger, Randal Leger, Ricky Menard, Frankie Meche, Jack Brown and Laurie Albarado. Fr. Jos. Stemmann and Mrs. Antonia Hof fpauir led the Rosary at the Funeral Home Chapel Saturday night before the Sunday funeral service.
