HOUSTON - Mrs. Lora F. Houston, 75, formerly 720 N. Sunset Ave., died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 25, 1963, in Caravilla Nursing Home, Beloit, Wis., after a lengthy illness. Born Feb. 22, 1888, in Shenandoah, Ia., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Havens. Liven 70 years in Rockford, coming here from Iowa. Married to Charles W. Houston in Rockford on April 6, 1908/ He died on April 21, 1958. Member of First Church of God, was a volunteer worker for the West Side Salvation Army Corps, and was a member of the Townsend Club. Survivors include: three sons, Forrest, William, and Frank, all of Rockford; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Baily and Mrs. Jeanette Noll, both of Rockford, and Mrs. Loretta Case, Gillingham, Wis.; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Essie Mitchell, Landusky, Mont.
Service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in JULIAN-POORMAN FUNERAL HOME, 304 N. 5th St., with the Rev. Gerald Boyed, pastor of Rockford Gospel Tabernacle, officiating. Burial in the Rockton Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
