Cecelia V. Riney, 84, of Wayland, Mo., died on Monday morning, May 31, at the Clark County Nursing Home, Kahoka. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the St. Martha's Catholic Church in Wayland, Mo., with the Rev. Michael Murphy officiating and burial in the St. Patrick cemetery. Pallbearers were Travis Riney, Curt Winters, Charles Kerner, Kyle Winters, Russell A. Riney and Stan Stevens. Honorary Pallbearers were Steve Huff, Kevin Winters, James Stevens, Darrell Winters, Joseph Farvour, Charles Waller, Herman Lee and Chad Winters. Music was provided by Bonnilyn Neyens, organist, and Mary Lou Brennan, soloist. Riney was born July 9, 1908, the daughter of William J. and Frances Amanda Long Logsdon, in Lewis County, Missouri. She was united in marriage on October 27, 1927, to Russell M. Riney at St. Patrick, Mo. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1982. She is survived by two sons, William Riney and his wife, Emma Jean of Wayland, Mo., Edwin Riney and his wife Tammy of Revere; two daughters, Mrs. Asa "Mary" Stevens of Wayland, Mo., Mrs. Kenneth "Patricia" Winters of Canton; and one sister, Mrs. William "Mary" Ryan of Canton; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Raymond C., Reuben J. and Julius B. Logsdon. She was a member of the St. Martha Catholic Church of Wayland, Mo., a past member of the St. Martha's Altar Society. She and her husband operated a general store in Winchester, Mo., from 1933-1942 and operated Riney's General Store in Wayland, Mo., from 1946-1972.
