Christopher William Rodgers, 43, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday (April 7, 2010) in Huntington, West Virginia. The Huntington, West Virginia native was born July 23, 1966, the son of Phyllis Ann Weaver Rodgers of Havelock, North Carolina and the late William Edlow Rodgers. He is also survived by his wife, Penny Morgan Rodgers, whom he married March 21, 1989.

Christopher was a graduate of Dawson Bryant High School and Collins Career Center, where he received his training as a surgical technician. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and an employee at Teays Valley Hospital and formerly worked in carpentry work for Brian Davis and Rob Ferguson. He attended Central Christian Church in Ironton, Ohio.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by:
father-in-law: Danny Morgan

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by:
2 children: Nicholas S. Rodgers and Jamie A. Rodgers both at home
2 sisters: Helen Hyatt and her fiance', Matthew J. Quick of Stafford, VA and Lynn and Matthew Eaches of Havelock, North Carolina
a brother and sister-in-law: Phillip David and Virginia Rodgers of Havelock, North Carolina
2 sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Kimberly and Larry Holtzapfel and Danette and Rex Robinson all of Ironton
