"ELDERLY CANTON RESIDENT DIES IN HOSPITAL
"Canton - Mrs. Mary Blanka, 84, died in a Watonga hospital Tuesday morning after an illness of several months. She was a native of Illinois and came to the Canton community in 1908 with her husband and family, settling on a farm west of Canton where she lived until her death.
"She is survived by three sons: James of Canton, Albert, Vasalia, Calif., and George of Swink, Colo.; five daugters: Mrs. Harvey Abercrombie, Custer City; Mrs. Owen Skinner, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Carl Van Meter, Canton; Mrs. Virgil Mitchell, Alamosa, Colo.; Mrs. Harry Showalter, Long Beach, Calif.; 17 grandchildren.
"Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thurseay at the Canton Baptist church with the Rev. A. L. Oden and the Rev. Howard Hartsell officiating. Burial will be in the Fountain cemetery."
