Former Mt. Vernon Woman Succumbs at Wabasha Hospital
Rollingstone, Minn., — (Special to The Republican - Herald) — Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Preston Dyer of Minneapolis, 75, a former Mt. Vernon township resident who died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth’s hospital at Wabasha, will be conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity church here by the Rev. P. A. Tibesar. Burial will be in the Rollingstone cemetery.

Mrs. Dyer, whose husband died many years ago, had been a resident of Minneapolis for 40 years but had been a patient at the Wabasha hospital for the last year and a half.

She had no children and is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Herman Brown and Mrs. Anna Maus of Rollingstone, and one brother, Frank J. Preston of Mt. Vernon, third district Winona county commissioner.

Mrs. Dyer was born in Mt. Vernon October 23, 1865, daughter of Patrick and Margaret Valentine Preston.

The body may be seen at the Kohner funeral home in Rollingstone.
