Former owner and operator of Ansley's Nursery in Lake Worth and a retired employee of Merchant Freight Lines, died Friday at his nephew's home in Lipan. He was 84.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Biggers Funeral Home in Lake Worth. Burial will be in Ashcreek Cemetery in Azle.

Mr. Ansley was born in Azle and had lived in Lake Worth for more than 50 years.

He had also been a former dispatcher for the Lake Worth Police and Fire departments and served as a constable in Northwest Tarrant County.

Mr. Ansley was a former councilman for Lake Worth and was very active in establishing and maintaining the library program in Lake Worth. He was a Methodist.

His wife, Martha Eudaley Ansley, died September 13, 1982.
