STATESBORO, Ga. - Mr. Lonnie S. Tillman, age 82, died Wednesday. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00pm in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. A private interment will be held in the Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home of Statesboro is in charge of the arrangements.

STATESBORO, Ga. - Mr. Lonnie S. "Jack" Tillman, age 82, died Wednesday at the Eagle HealthandRehabilitation. The Richmond County native lived in Bulloch County most of hislife. He was a retired carpenter. Mr. Tillman was of the Baptist faith. He was a devoted husband and loving grandfather. He and his wife enjoyed raising and teaching their grandchildren. Mr. Tillman was an avid fisherman and craftsmen.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Morton Martin; two brothers, Clark Gable Tillman and Henry Weaver Tillman; and three sisters, Ruby Minors, Fonnie Archer and Faye Danley.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Virginia Ann Cowart Tillman of Statesboro; two grandchildren, Miranda Lynn Martin of Claxton and Joshua Allen Martin of Statesboro; and three sisters, Mildred Davis of South Carolina, Dorothy Sellers of Jacksonville, Fla., and Annette Plymel of Statesboro. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Elder W.I. Tidwell Jr. officiating.
The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
A private interment will be held in the Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association.
