EDRIE HANCOCK, 98, of Benton, KY passed away at 4:25PM Friday, February 24, 2012 at Medco Center of Paducah.

Edrie and her husband Woodrow owned and operated Hancock's Grocery in Palma for many years. She was a member of the North Marshall Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Glenda Kay Dye and Sue Kathryn Sutton both of Paducah, KY; one son, David Ronald Hancock of Chapel Hill, TN; five grandchildren, Faye Lynn Thompson, Terry Dye, Kim Chumbler, Tracey York and Jason Sutton; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Woodrow Hancock; six sisters, Marguerite Arant, Eula Harper, Lola Haywood, Ruth Wilson, Irene Spurlin and Mamie Dunn; and three brothers, Marvin Dunn, Hubert Dunn and Roy Dunn. Her parents were Edd Marion Dunn and Effie Caroline English Dunn.

Services: Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Monday, February 27, 2012 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory. Gary Knuckles will officiate, and burial will follow in the Sharpe Cemetery.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory.
