James WOODROW HANCOCK, 90, of Benton, KY, died at 3:45AM Friday, April 23, 2004 at Lourdes Hospital.
He was the former owner of Hancock's Grocery Store in Palma, KY. He retired from IBEW Local in Paducah as an electrician and was a member of North Marshall Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Edrie Wilma Dunn Hancock of Benton, KY; two daughters, Glenda Kay Dye and Sue Kathryn Sutton both of Benton, KY; one son, David Ronald Hancock of Franklin, TN; five grandchildren, Faye Lynn Thompson, Terry Dye, Kim Chumbler, Tracey York, and Jason Sutton; and five great grandchildren, Joshua Dye, Kayla York, Christopher Chumbler, Tala Thompson, and John David York.
He is preceded in death by seven sisters, two brothers, and his parents, James Albert and Mary Ella (Carmon) Hancock.
