Dennis James Goodwin passed from this life on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the Methodist Heart Hospital in Houston, TX. Dennis was born October 15, 1958 and at 51 years of age was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma City.
He was the loving son of Claude and Clyda Goodwin, both of whom predeceased him.
Dennis attended John Marshall High school as well as Southern Nazarene University. He worked at several facilities during his lifetime serving those who were less fortunate and truly enjoyed helping others.
On November 3, 2001 he married the love of his life, Susan Lynne Smith, and God blessed their marriage with a son, Andrew James Goodwin in 2005.
Among those who will always remember Dennis are his niece, Jodi Harrell, of their home, his sister, Linda Upton and his nephew, Anthony Upton, both of Oklahoma City. A host of other relatives and friends will remember his gentle loving heart, his great sense of humor, and caring spirit.
Dennis enjoyed spending time with Susan and Andrew immensely and he liked to read and work with computers in his spare time.
Services on Saturday, April 10th at Trinity Church of the Nazarene where Dennis was a member. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Susan, Andrew, Jodi, and the family wish to thank everyone for their prayers and loving support during these difficult times.
