Funeral services for Emmett A. Mullican, 54, of Danville Road, are scheduled from the residence at 2 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Mullican died at 4:05 a.m. today at his home following a stroke.
Kyle McWhorter will officiate at the rites and burial will be in the city cemetery, Brown Funeral Co. directing. Pallbearers will be Truitt Mitchell, Phil Mitchell, Wilson Mitchell, C.L. Irick, Milford McMillian and Gordon Van Dusen. The body will lie in state at the home from 4 p.m. today until the funeral.
Surviving Mr. Mullican, a native of Lawrence County and a member of the Church of Christ, are his widow, Mrs. Ellice Mullican; a daughter, Rebecca Sue; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Mullican; four brothers, Ernest, Ennis, Erben and Everett Mullican.
