"Portland (Maine) Daily Press, Monday, October 23, 1871, Volume 10, Page 2:
Mr. Joshua Osgood, residing at Fryeburg village, fell from the scaffold of his barn on Monday last, and injured himself so severely that his life was despaired of for several days. On Friday, however, consciousness returned and his recovery is now looked forward to with much hope."
