To love must mean to think of, to care for, to hope for, to pray for, not less now than before.
Fanny, daughter of John B. Williams and wife, was born near Old Mode on April the fifteenth 1847, her earthly pilgrimage being sixty nine years, ten months and nine days.
On December the twenty third, 1866, she was united in marriage to Samuel Bailey. To them were born eleven children, of whom three, Mary, Martha and Willis died while young. We eight children, John W., Mrs. Clara Haverstock, Albert W., Harvey H., Mrs. Ida Koontz, Isaac S., Walter S., and Mrs. Edith Gatchel, with Father and her brother George W. Williams, of Cold Spring, Mo., and her sister, Mrs. Deborah Burris of McCune, Kans., and other relatives and friends survive to mourn our loss.
Mother spent all her life in Shelby county, forty years of her married life was spent on the Home Farm west of town and the last ten years they have lived in Stewardson where on December the twenty- third 1916, with all the children and a host of friends they celebrated their Golden Wedding.
While the shadows of Father's life are falling toward the east, our youngest sister, Edith, (Mrs. Carl Gatchell and her husband) will be in the Dear Old Home and we hope to make his as happy and cheerful during the autumn, as the springtime of life.
