Freddie Lee McDonald was born on 6 January 1925 New Albany, Floyd County, Indiana to Fred Lee McDonald and Lena "Leota" Vernon McDonald. Freddie died on 14 December 1937 in Milltown, Crawford County, Indiana as a result of a sledding accident. He hit his head on a rock and he apparently died from what was believed to be a skull fracture. He never woke up from the accident.
