She was born February 8, 1922 in Carlinville, Illinois and lived in the Zion, Winthrop Harbor area most of her life.
She is survived by 4 children, Frederick Duane (Helen) Pitts of Beach Park, Larry E. (Lisa) Pitts of Kenosha, William A. (Leeann) Pitts of Atlanta, Georgia and Donna J. (Daniel) Murillo of Miami, Florida; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee; and a brother, Donald (Shirley) King of McLean, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Pitts in 1987.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Interment will be in Pine View Memorial Park. Visitation from 6 to 9PM Sunday.
