Winifred Rath, 82 of Elgin, passed away Friday in Carrington Care Center, South Elgin.
She was born April 1, 1918 in Ireland, and was the daughter of John and Margaret Connelly Mullee. Resident of Elgin since 1963. Member of St. Laurence Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy (Mark) Roth of Elgin; a son, Kevin (Paula) Rath of Elmhurst, IL; five grandchildren, Casey, Kerry and Kate Roth of Elgin, Curtis and Kyle Rath of Elmhurst, IL; a sister, Nancy Egan of Ireland; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold in 1976; five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will start with Prayers at 11:10 AM Monday in the Laird Funeral Home to St. Laurence Catholic Church for 11:30 AM. Mass with Rev. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8 PM in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Carrington Care Center or Oak Crest Residence of Elgin.
