Cheryl A. Moore, 56, of Coatesville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of Jane Lowhorne Moore of Coatesville and Robert W. Moore of Forksville.
She attended the St. Mary of Providence School in Elverson.
She was involved with Handi-Crafters from the age of 16, and for a total of 40 years. She worked with the Chester County Literacy Program speaking to groups and schools about the benefits of reading. She also worked at TJ Maxx for two years and received a letter of commendation for her work in customer service.
Cheryl loved to crochet, sew and do needlepoint.
She was also a big Elvis fan. She loved animals and enjoyed being with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. ‘If you knew Cheryl, she touched your heart.'
In addition to her parents, she is survived by brothers, Bob Moore of Colorado and Dennis Moore of Coatesville; sister, Jenni Harper of Honey Brook; and nieces and nephew, Sara, Daylen, Miriah, Ryan and Kailah.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, at Downingtown Friends Meeting House.
Interment will be in Downingtown Friends Meeting Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Handi-Crafters, 215 N. Barley Sheaf Road, Thorndale, PA 19372.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the James J. Terry Funeral Home, Downingtown.
