He was united in marriage to Myrtle Noline in the year 1900. After 13 short years this union was broken by her death.
In the year 1916 he was united in marriage to Stella Bateman Keating who passed away in 1953. He was also preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers. Surviving his passing is one niece, Mrs. Ruth Osborn of California.
Mr. Hough was converted to Christ in his bedroom over sixty years ago. Later he became a member of the Mount Zion Methodist Church. He was baptized into the Monroe Baptist Church in 1926 where he attended faithfully and served where possible as long as his health permitted. Many people have heard the story of his conversion and his faith in the saving and keeping power of the Lord.
Funeral services were held at the Monroe Baptist Church Wednesday, May 28, at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Donald M. Brong officiating. Interment was made in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
