ADAMS, Dorothy Fleming, 76, resident of Tampa since 1973 passed into the Lords hands on March 15, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Our little bird of happiness has flown home to heaven. Dorothy was employed at the Arts Council of Hillsborough County for 32 years where she played an integral developmental role as an active advocate and ardent supporter of the local fine arts movement as well as the preservation of The Tampa Theatre. Born in Campbell, MO., her remains will be returned there and interred at Woodlawn Cemetery as a final resting place. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 47 years, (Albert Adams) and her son (Eric Adams). It was Dorothy's wish that tax deductible donations in lieu of flowers be made in her name to the following charities: Chronic Disease Fund, P.O. Box 96230, Wash.D.C. 20090-6230, or Moffitt Cancer and Research Hospital, 12902 Magnolia Dr., Tampa, Fl. 33612. Memorial Services will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave. on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 3 P.M..
