Doris DePriest, 76, of Fort Smith, Arkansas died Saturday, April 3, 2010 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born in Rothsay, Minnesota, raised in Spokane, Washington and had resided in Fort Smith since 1970.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia DePriest Shelton and her parents, William and Thelma Stallman.


Funeral service was Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial in U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

She is survived by her husband Ed DePriest of the home; one daughter, Janis Hall of Fort Smith; one son, David DePriest of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Rachel and Alisha Hall, Hayden and Daylen DePriest; two sisters, Betty Stephens of Spokane, Washington and LaDonna Brown of Portland, Oregon; one brother, Donald Stallman of Spokane, Washington.

Honorary pallbearers were the John Taylor Sunday School of Grand Avenue Baptist Church.
