Two children were raised under the surname of Szabo by her second marriage to Anton Szabo, Maria and Anton. Her son, Julius, was left behind in Hungary and she fully expected to send for him, but political wars ensued along with economic hardships. Anna died in the US and never got to see her son Julius again. Her daughter, Julia Anna Benko managed to immigrate to the US in her young adulthood and married into the Tschida family. When Anna did immigrate to the US, she brought one daughter with her, Maria, who later married into the Forsberg family. Her youngest child, Anton, was born in the USA, but shortly before his birth, the biological father, Janos Benko returned to Hungary and died there. Tony was raised under his step-father's Szabo surname.
