Robert Harris
Robert Harris, 73, of Wells St. Extension, Navy veteran of World War I, died yesterday at Franklin County Public Hospital shortly after arrival their by ambulance.
Born in Westminster, Vt. on September 11,1893, he was the son of Fred A. and Lizzie (McCarthy) Barnes. He had lived in Greenfield 50 years and was a painter.
He leaves his widow, the former Gladys Williams; a son Bernard A. of Greenfield ; two daughters , Mrs. Patricia Gray and Mrs. Judith Derosia, both of Greenfield; 11 grandchildren; and a brother, Benjamin of Greenfield.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at McCarthy Funeral Home. Rev. Arthur W. Shaw of First Congregation Church will officiate . Burial will be in Federal St. Cemetery. Calling hours today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
