Kenneth was the son of Charles John Shoup and Mattie Laverne Whetsel.He was married under the name Shoup in 1915 in Wood County ,Ohio but changed the last name to Whetsel when his first child was born.He was the Husband to Elzada Mae VanScoder ,father to Orlo Keith., Elwood Clair ,Lola Mae , Kenneth William and to Glenn David . 2 Children died at birth one boy and one girl.
