Glenn David Whetsel passed away Friday, August 1st, 2008, at Waterford Commons in Toledo, Ohio. Glenn was born April 25th 1930, to Elzada and Kenneth Whetsel. Glenn attended Waite High School before joining the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17. He retired from the Marine Corps after serving 20 proud years. Glenn married Mary Jo Whetsel on May 16, 1969, in Monroe, Michigan. After serving his country, Glenn became a truck driver for 20 years with 16 of those years spent working for Interstate Trucking. He was also a member of the Teamsters for nearly 40 years. Glenn will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elzada and Kenneth Whetsel; three brothers, Orlow, Claire and Kenneth, and one sister, Lola. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary Jo, four sons, Keith (Debbie), Bruce (Dawn), Brian (Brenda), and Patrick (Robyn) Dubreuil, and three daughters, Catherine (Carl) Horkey, Teresa Anglin, and Dianne (Steve) Hudzinski. He also leaves behind 18 grand-children and three great-grandsons. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Glenn's nurses, Carol and Sandy, his nurse's aides, Barb, Carmen, and Linda; his buddy Debbie and also the rest of the crew at Waterford Commons. They would also like to thank very much The Heartland Hospice, especially Patty and Judy. Friends may call at the Urbanski Funeral Home, Lagrange at Dexter (419)-244-4611, Tuesday, August 5, 2008, from 2 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Urbanski Funeral Home. Interment will be handled privately in Mt Carmel Cemetery.
