Bethevene Allen Young, 73, of Kingman Route 1 died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in Covington Manor Healthcare Center. Mrs. Young was a graduate of Kingman High School and a former resident of Sparks and Reno, Nevada for several years where she was a bank teller. She returned to Kingman in 1986. She was born October 10, 1922 to Charles Andrew Allen and Clara Shumaker Allen. She married Paul Young in 1957; he preceded her in death. Surviving are five sisters, Madeline Richardson of Jacksonville, Fla., Pauline Hodge of Steubenville, Ohio, Fauniel Colson of Hillsboro, In., Frances Rodgers of Zionsville, In., Willdis Marie Green of San Diego, Calif., and a brother Harold J. Allen of Kingman, Ind. She also was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and working crossword puzzles. Graveside services are schedule for 11 a.m. Thursday in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery with Kenneth Majors officiating. There will be no calling. Shelby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
