The community was shocked Wednesday of last week when the news spread of the death of Andrew Anderson, a well and favorably known farmer living north of town. Mr. Anderson had been sick for a couple weeks with pneumonia but was reported to be improving. Funeral services were held at the East Zion Church Friday afternoon were he was laid to rest. The heartfelt sympathy of this community is extended to the family in their sorrow and loss of a loving husband and father.
He had a brother Peter Anderson (50555656) that also mourned Andrews death.
Andrew Anderson, 49 years of age, for several years a resident of the Leonard community, passed away Monday, October 27th.
Andrew Anderson was born in Sweden in 1881. In the year 1900 he came to this country and settled in Warren. In 1910 he was married to Miss Anna Larson. Nine children, of which one died in infancy, was born to this union. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and the following children: Mrs. Alvina Horgan, Radium, Minnesota; Aggie, Elnora, Ruby, Arnold, Edwin, Kenneth and Andie who are at home.
Mr. Anderson died October 27th, as the result of a brief illness of pneumonia. He was highly respected in his community and his absence will be keenly felt not only by his family but by his numerous friends and acquaintances.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Rev. E.W. Sihler of Clearbrook officiating under the arrangements of Undertaker Halterman of Clearbrook. The services were held at the East Zion Church with burial in the church cemetery.
