Dorothy N. Sickon Fleming 84, of Star Route, Spring Church, formerly Shelocta RD1, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at her home.

The daughter of Edward C. and Lula Snyder Bouch, she was born Oct. 19, 1916, in Wandin, Indiana County.

Mrs. Fleming retired from Indiana Sportswear in 1964 as a presser. Previously she had worked for 14 years at the Barnesboro Shirt Factory.

She had been a lifetime member of the VFW Post 863 Auxiliary, Kittanning, and the AARP. She enjoyed bowling and dancing.

Survivors include three sons: John Sickon, Star Route, Spring Church, and Harry Sickon and Charles Sickon, both of Cleveland; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Carolyn) Sickon Winkleman of Arizona; two stepsons, John F. Fleming and Dale L. Fleming, both of Shelocta RD1; a stepdaughter, Mrs. George (Karen) Gresock, Indiana; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four step-Grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Vivian) Beer, Shelocta RD1; two step-brothers, Carl Filler, Homer City, John Filler, Yellow Creek; a stepsister, Mrs. Bessie Lydick, Commodore; and a half-sister, Aldine Klesser, Ambridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; John Sickon, who died in 1960; her second husband, Frank M. Fleming, who died Feb. 21, 1995; a stepmother, Carrie Filler Bouch; three grandchildren; five brothers: Clarence, Charles, Clayton, Samuel and Edward Bouch; five sisters, Mildred Nicewonger, Ethel Dishong, Isabelle Wissinger, Elma Mae Bouch and Margaret Stiles; and a stepbrother, James Filler.

Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 7 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Chapel, Elderton, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Vaughn Taylor officiating.

Interment will be in Mahaffey Cemetery in Clearfield County.
