Juanita “Elaine” Crews, 72 of Folkston, passed away Tuesday morning(April 5, 2016) at Mayo Clinic Health System following an extended illness.

Born in Folkston, GA., her parents were Ervin Crews and Thelma Thrift Crews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wallace Lavon Crews, Sr.; her sister, Thelma Louise Crews; and her niece, Sheila Miller.

Elaine worked recycling boxes for the Training Center in Folkston. She was a member of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church, and loved singing, going to church, and playing bingo.

Survivors include her three sisters and brothers-in-law, Dianne Griffin, of Folkston, Debbie and Richard Forrester, of Riverside, and Robin and David Batten, also of Riverside; 7 nieces and their spouses, Rhonda and Don Harris, Stacy and Brett West, Brenda and Mark Matteliano, all of Winokur, Sheryl and Matias Lemuz, of Riverside, Dawn Rebollo and Candi Zacahas, of Winokur, Becky and Chris O’Berry, of Millwood, and Nicky Batten, of Riverside; 5 nephews and their spouses, Wallace and Wendi Crews, Jr., of Winokur, Marty and Betsy Crews, of Folkston, Terry and Melissa Griffin, of Riverside, Randy and Jennifer Batten, of Hickox, and Robbie and Shellie Batten, of Blackshear; one sister-in-law, Margie Crews, of Riverside. Also several great nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and a host of friends.

Visitation will held Thursday evening (April 7, 2016) starting at 6PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday afternoon (April 8, 2016) at 2PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright and Rev. Wayne Manning officiating.

Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Terry Griffin, Robbie Batten, Randy Batten, Marty Crews, Wallace Crews, Don Harris, Matius Lemuz, and Candi Zacahas.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
