He was born May 1, 1922 in DeKalb County, IL., the son of the late Oliver and Bessie (nee Daw) Byro. Prior to his retirement in 1972 he was employed as a truck driver for the Wurlitzer Piano and Organ Co., in DeKalb, IL. He was a member of the Sandwich Moose Lodge and the Grumpy Old Mens Club of Oswego, IL.
He is survived by two daughters Sharon (Robert) Wheeler of Plainfield, IL., Mary (Robert) Cole of Somonauk, IL., two sons Michael (Sally) Byro of Aurora, IL., Timothy (Connie) Byro of Las Vegas, NV., his grandchildren Ronda Ehmke of Plainfield, IL., Sean (Teary) Byro of Scottsdale, AZ., Amy Byro of Las Vegas, NV., Jonathan Byro of Aurora, IL., Jacob Byro, Erik Byro both of Sandwich, IL., a great-granddaughter Taylor Byro of Scottsdale, AZ., a sister Alma (Agard) Bailey of Arlington Heights, IL., two brothers Ralph Bertha) Byro of Malta, IL., Raymond (Betty) Byro of Sycamore, IL., several nieces, nephews and a dear friend Mae Ovitt of Somonauk, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margie Byro, two sons Frank Byro, Edward Byro and a sister Beverly Swanson.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2000 from 9:30 AM until the funeral hour of 12:00 Noon at the McKeown-Dunn Funeral Home, LTD. in Oswego, IL., with Rev. Robert McQuilkin officiating. Burial will take place at the AuSable Cemetery in rural Yorkville, IL.
