"Rudolf Lunog
SAWYER, March 29 Rudolf Lunog. 78, died at 7 a. m. today at his home in Sawyer. He had been ill for six months and bedfast for three weeks.
Mr. Lunog was bon in Russia on 'eb. 14, 1872, and came to the United states in 1901. He settled on a farm near Sawyer, where he lived until five years ago when, due to illness, he moved into the village. He was employed at the Sawyer Flower Gardens.
On Sept. 16, 1879, he was married to Amelia Prill, who survives him. Also surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Emma Luther, Three Oaks; Mrs. Adeline Jenkins, Three Oaks; and Mrs. Olga Krieger, Sawyer; five sons, John Lunog, Gary, Ind.; Louis Lunog, Glendora; William Lunog, Sawyer; Arthur Lunog, Buchanan; and Henry Lunog, Chicago; 16 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Molly Sonnenberg, Michigan City; and several nieces and nephews. Three children preceded him in death. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church in Sawyer, where funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. Friday by Rev. E. G. Rioke. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
The body is at the Connelly funeral home in Three Oaks, where it will remain until tomorrow after noon and then taken to the residence A prayer service will be held at 2 n. m. Friday at the residence before the body is taken to the church." From The Herald-Palladium, March 29, 1950, page 21
