Edith Adair, 85, died May 27, 1999, of natural causes in Klamath Falls.
Mrs. Adair was born May 6, 1914, in Lincoln County, Wash., to Edwin and Mable (Smith) Webster. She graduated from college in Monmouth. She taught school in the Lynwood School District for eight years before moving with her husband, Ben, to Klamath Falls, wehre they owned and operated Adair Funiture Store until retiring in 1975. They were married in Coburg in 1939. Mrs. Adair was a past member of the Manzanita Order of the Eastern Star, the Lost River Garden Club, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed cooking, caring for her family, and genealogy.
Surivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jim an Diana Adair of Wleches, son John Adair of Tulelake; daughter and son-in-law Mary and Richard Card of Klamath Falls; sister, Norma Ryan of Klamath Falls; brother Willis Webster of Grandview, Wash., and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Ann Cleland, a granddaughter, Jeny Cleland, and numerous brothers and sisters.
