Helen Kurtenbach, 92, of Tilden and formerly of Lindsay, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 1988, at the Tilden Nursing Center.

Funeral services are at 10:30 a.,m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Lindsay, with the Revs. Joseph Miksch and Harold Kurtenbach officiating. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Kurtenbach was born March 31, 1896, in Randolph, the daughter of John and Pauline (Schmitt) Schaecher. She attended Holy Family School, Lindsay, and married William Kurtenbach Feb. 18, 1919, at Holy Family Church. She was a lifetime resident of Lindsay.

She was a member of American Legion Auxilliary Post 261 in Lindsay, Holy Family Church, Christian Mothers and the Missionary Society.

She is survived by seven sons, Irvin and Norman, both of Lindsay, Vernon of Newman Grove, John of Kearney, William of Columbus, Edward of Ojai, CA and Joseph of Los Alamos, NM; three daughters, Germaine (Mrs. Don) Luebe of Norfolk, Bernice (Mrs. Kenneth) Arlt and Charlotte (Mrs. Emil) Staroscik, both of Columbus; six sisters, Rose (Mrs. Ed) Dohmen of Hampton, MN, Elizabeth (Mrs. Herman) Weidner of Elgin, IL, Matilda (Mrs. Ed) German of Columbus, Clara (Mrs. Carl) Hassenstab of Omaha, Frances (Mrs. John) Liebig of Platte Center, and Mary (Mrs. John) Mottles of West Covina, CA
