Sarah M Foster married Wesley John Dodson, Jr who was the son of Wesley John Sr and Luevice McClung Dodson. Wesley enlisted in the Confederate Army as a private in March 1862 and served until April 1865 in Co. K 36 ALA INF.

Wesley John and Sarah lived in Fayette and Lamar Co., AL and raised four sons; James C, Jackson M, John Hollis & Jesse Lee and five daughters; Laura, Mary Adaline, Iola N, Amanda C and Virgie Dodson.
