Sadly, Algal has passed away. Please consider visiting their Find a Grave memorial page and leaving some virtual flowers. Their enthusiasm for cemeteries and willingness to help future generations lives on through their contributions to Find a Grave.
I was born in Fayette Co., Alabama. After I married we lived in Mississippi, Washington State and then in Idaho for 25 years and have now retired and moved back to Fayette Co., AL. Our family is scattered all over the United States.
Genealogy is my thing. I love helping people find their ancestors. My family research includes the names; Moore, Estes, Godfrey, Price, Trull, Clanton, Metcalf, Ayers, Burton, Hudson, Duncan, Morgan, Webster, Clark, Coutts, Jenkins, Amrine, Dunn, Herbert,
Coltharp, Dee, Herin, Stafford, Yerby, Ashcraft and many, many more.
SORRY, I am unable to do cemetery photos and see no place to turn it off. Please no more request for photos.
Please do not add vital information on Flowers. It could take months or longer before it is noticed. Please use the Edit/Suggestion tab. I will be glad to add the information and/or links if you use the F-A-G Guidelines below. Please note the source of information. Thank you.

In the past, I have always tried to transfer Memorials, when requested by family members, if the memorial is not one of my own family members. Now, because of members just using it to build a family tree outside the guidelines and are never updating the memorials, I am referring those back to the Findagrave Guidelines. I am a researcher and try to find out as much as I can about the memorials I add.
FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES: In part, began quote:
"Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren."
"Explain your relationship in the request! Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer."
"The "Suggest a correction" feature may also be used to submit corrections, an original biography, and family links to memorials that do not fall under the above definition. (Be sure to include the memorial ID#s for the family links and how they are related, father, mother or spouse. The original contributor should make any corrections and add any additional information you have for that memorial, such as links to parents and spouses, provided the information is accurate."
"Please note that it is not appropriate to request a transfer and then, after receiving the transfer, delete that page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created. This practice denies credit to the original contributor. Please use the original memorial page to make updates and add information." End quote.
I will consider all request.
MY GOAL has always been to post memorials on F-A-G to honor the memory of the deceased loved ones that have basically been forgotten. I have walked many miles through cemeteries, as many other contributor's have, photographed the whole cemetery and posted them so that families can find them.
If you are searching for someone in Fayette, Lamar or Pickens Counties in Alabama, I will do my best to help.
Keep looking up!
