Oleta Wanara "Brownie" Roberts, a longtime resident of the Henryetta area, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in Henryetta at the age of 75. She was born August 28, 1934 in Featherston, Oklahoma to Ode K Roberts and Lucy (Nail) Roberts. Oleta's baptism in the summer of 1953 in Featherston Baptist Church by Bro. Clampett is one of the families fondest memories. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anita James, both her parents, and by two brothers N. J. Roberts and Ode K. Roberts Jr. She is survived by 5 sisters, Wynema Fixico & husband Charles of Henryetta, Juanita Burnie of Quinton, Oklahoma, Geneva Robinson of Quinton, Aleta Bland & husband Hester of Quinton, Genita Rhoda of Clinton, Arkansas, one brother, Kenneth Roberts of Okmulgee, and by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Edmond Shelton, Lavan Watts, Dennis Robinson, Johnny Rhoda, John Teddy Burge, and Bobby Watts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Hampton and Brownie's nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday and Friday evening at the First Baptist Church in Quinton, Oklahoma. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, April 2, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Quinton, Oklahoma. Interment will be in Featherston Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
