Mr. Walters was employed by Port Huron Paper Co. for 45 years. He was a member of Riverside Tabernacle Church of God and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
He is survived by three daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Glenda) Kniffel, Mr. and Mrs. Al (Janet) McDonald and Carol Walters, all of Port Huron; four grandchildren, Allen, Joseph, Kristina. and Heather; one great-granddaughter, Jordan; two great-aunts, Olive Edington and Mabel Davis; three sisters-in-law, Wanda Walters, Hazel Ames and Dorothy Johnston; two brothers-in-law, Harvey and George Johnston; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Nifty.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2001, in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Shelton will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
