Freda V. Bowers Beittel, 82
Boonsboro--Freda Virginia Bowers Beittel, 82, of 21374 Mount Lena Road, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born March 20, 1922 in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Gross Bowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleon Austin Beittel, Sr. in 1990.
She retired from the Washington County Board of Education as both a substitute teacher and cafeteria aide.
She was a member of the Mount Lena United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and the choir, and taught Sunday school.
She is survived by two sons, Cleon Austin Beittel, Jr of Baltimore, and Michael Lee Beittel of Boonsboro: three stepdaughters, Lois P. Hoch of Carlisle,PA, Viva C. French and Marie A. Souders, both of Hagerstown; two grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and 10 step great-grandchildren.
