She lived in Claremont, NH for several years and had resided in Henniker since 1974. She worked for several years as a cook at Aerotronics in Contoocook, NH and retired in September of 1992 from Sylvania-GTE in Hillsboro, NH where she worked for eight years in quality control. She was a communicant of St Theresa Church in Henniker. She loved to created pictures using oil paints, pastels, and charcoal.
She married Roland Gordon Johnson on March 29, 1941 in Weathersfield, VT who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by brother Armond J Sylvester in 1958.
Survivors include daughter Mary Tillson of Hillsboro; three sons Roland G Johnson Jr of Pensacola, FL, Gary Johnson of Sunapee, NH, and George Johnson of Springfield, NH; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two brothers Raymond Sylvester of Granville, NY and Octave Sylvester of Springfield, VT.
Burial is in Union cemetery.
