George Hoak died of stomach trouble on Wednesday at the home of his father-in-law, W.J. Rodgers near Marksville, aged about thirty.
He had been in bad health for some time. He was an exemplary young man and had the respect of everybody. A wife survives him.
The interment was in the Rodgers graveyard near Hope Mills yesterday. Funeral services by the Rev. Mr. Sedwick, of the Methodist church, of which the deceased was a member.
