Mr. Buford Otto Patterson, 77, died May 28 (1976) at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a two year illness. Mr. Patterson was a retired farmer and Chester County employee.

He was born in Chester County in the Hickory Corner Community, the son of the late James Enoch and Rosana Davidson Patterson. He was married to Flossie Maness of Hickory Corner in 1919.

Survivors include Mrs. Flossie Maness Patterson of Henderson, (Old Montezuma Rd) his wife; four sons, Milburn Patterson of Pekin, IL., Frelon Patterson of Odessa, TX., Frank Patterson of Meridan, MS. and J. H. Patterson of Dyer, TN.; Two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Thelma) Justice of Fayetteville, TN., and Mrs. Franklin (Bonnie) Howard of Muskegon, MI; two brothers J. O. Patterson of Finger (Chester County), TN. and Arnold Patterson of Finger (Chester County), TN.; three sisters, Mrs. Ottie Garner, Memphis, TN., Mrs. Brodie (Romie) Smith and Mrs. Odell (Georgia) Clayton, both of Montezuma, TN.; 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon (May 30) at Cave Springs Baptist Church with Max Patterson of the Henderson church of Christ officiating. Casey Funeral Home was in charge.
