Maxine Dyer Campbell was born on Aug. 23, 1940, in Alamosa, Colo. to Max Vivian Dyer and Sylvia Jolley Dyer.
On April 14, 1960, she married Randolph Neil Campbell in Raleigh, N.C. She has lived in Katy since 1981, where she was very active in The Church of Latter-day Saints, Katy Ward.
Maxine passed away in a Houston hospital on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 at the age of 69 years.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Neil Campbell; sons and daughters-in-law, Randolph E. and Mary Campbell, Richard M. and Jill Campbell, Robert J. and Ruth Campbell, Rodney L. and Robyn Campbell, and R. David and Sharee Campbell; daughter and son-in-law, Tamra and William Hyde; 23 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, James Dyer; as well as other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Katy, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, 2009 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Katy Ward. Interment will be in Katy Magnolia Cemetery.
